Earth Month is a celebration of taking care of the earth and raising awareness of environmental issues. As the month comes to a close, we wanted to point of some of the ways Osmosis Wines is committed to Sustainable practices and giving back to the earth and community.
At Osmosis everything starts in the vineyard, from grape to glass, we are committed to giving back to the land and people. We use only sustainable practices from reusing the the waste from grapes as biocompost, a form of cyclical agriculture. All of our water comes from the Andes and is recycled and reused; never wasted, we know how precious water is! Our grapes are all hand-picked from our family-owned estate vineyards. And we use lighter weight glass for our bottles, thus reducing the winery's carbon footprint. We have llamas that graze in the vineyards, a kind of natural "lawnmower!"
Osmosis Wines is committed to giving back to the community in Mendoza. The proceeds from recycled bottles are are given to the Children's Hospital of Mendoza. Scholarships are given by the winery to support local education. And the wool from our llamas is collected and given to women weave the wool into garments and more.
Buying a bottle of Osmosis means much more than enjoying the best tasting low calorie, low alcohol wine around; it also means you too are helping our pledge to the earth by drinking sustainably.
