The holiday season is in full swing so how do we find ways to be mindful and still enjoy?  Here are some tips to consider so that you don't feel overwhelmed with all that choices in front of us!  

  1. Slow down, savor what is around you, who is around you and take the time to enjoy, quietly and mindfully.

Healthy food swaps - use lower fat dairy ingredients such as low fat sour cream or low fat yogurt, low fat milk choices. Switch your heavy vegetable casseroles for steamed or sauteed vegetables which don't have to be boring when you add a reduced fat yogurt dressing or a flavored olive oil. Swap out potatoes for a sweet potato it has more vitamins and less calories. Indulge in a piece of dark chocolate instead of a piece of cake it tastes great and has loads of antioxidants.
